Athleisure has become a staple in wardrobes across the globe. This has made it one of 2022’s defining fashion trends. COVID-19 accelerated the trend, with working from home driving a surge in sales. The athleisure market grew by 53% over the last year alone. And it is expected to from strength-to-strength. In fact, the global athleisure market size is anticipated to reach $549.41 billion by 2028.

Genderless fashion is one of the most talked-about fashion trends. A growing number of consumers, particularly Gen Z and millenials,  are creating demand for more inclusive and gender-neutral fashion offerings. Gone are the days when skirts implied femininity and suits the opposite. Searches for fashion pieces including agender-related keywords have increased more than 33%  since the beginning of 2021, according to Lyst.

Recommerce represents a new frontier

A growing global focus on sustainability is driving the growth of recommerce, which involves reselling previously owned new or used products. Recommerce is expected to grow to US$65 billion by 2024.  While McKinsey found platforms that support a recommerce model can extend the average product life by 1.7 times.

Tapping into burgeoning fashion trends

Up-and-coming fashion trends are providing retailers with new ways to engage and interact with their audience.
